Position: Director of Email Marketing

Job Description: MTS is seeking a Director of Email Marketing to expand our direct-marketing email revenue and report directly to the VP of Client Services/Operations. This position includes developing all email strategy directives, contact streams, and offer incentives, as well as budgeting, planning, implementation, and reporting. This is an excellent position for someone looking to change the way we handle email marketing for our database of millions of consumers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage and execute all email marketing plans. Track all activity, ensuring prompt, efficient delivery
  • Work with cross-functional groups, senior management, and external vendors to develop winning programs that achieve business objectives
  • Lead email marketing communications; direct creative teams to achieve objectives within identified brand strategies and guidelines, including development of email marketing programs for members and prospects
  • Manage all aspects of program budgets; look for ways to improve ROI and contribution
  • Provide all forecasting and business modeling
  • Manage all CAN-SPAM compliancy and ISP deliverability
  • Adhere to high-quality standards with rigorous testing
  • Provide scalable process and procedures
Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.S. minimum
  • 8+ years' consumer marketing experience
  • 5+ years working in online media and/or membership environments, specifically driving email marketing efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage projects to completion, on time and within budget, under tight deadlines
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Extremely versed in email and direct-response marketing, including email standards and compliancy
  • Strong knowledge of email deliverability concepts, including ISP utilization of feedback loops (FBLs), deliverability tools, and IP white listing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Strong managerial, leadership, and strategic-thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong creative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven track record of success leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong results-orientation and decision-making skills
  • A strong self-starter with unprecedented motivation, work ethic, and integrity
  • Working knowledge of Ad Serving is helpful
