Position: VP of Product Management & Marketing

Job Description: MTS is seeking a Vice President of Product Management & Marketing to join its executive management team. This key position is responsible for creating and executing product strategies that lead to 100%+ plus revenue growth, market domination, and world-class brand awareness among customers, prospects, and media. The VP must be an exceptionally talented, hands-on executive who can build an organizational model to complement MTS's existing corporate strategy and execute with the highest levels of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage evolution of the product roadmap to drive revenue and exploit new market opportunities. Conduct research to identify opportunities related to product, pricing, promotion, placement, etc.
  • Establish ground rules for developing new services with sales, technology, management, clients, and industry influencers.
  • Establish and manage cross-functional communications to build accountability and ownership.
  • Implement processes for feature introduction, prioritization, market feedback, and implementation.
  • Build and manage user groups and work directly with "platinum" clients to understand how MTS can integrate into client's business processes and gain a larger share of client's spend.
  • Create and concisely communicate the MTS story for internal (product marketing), external (marketing communications), and brand building (corporate communications).
  • Partner with the sales team to provide exceptional insight and sales tools that clearly articulate the MTS value proposition, ROI, and key selling messages.
  • Create high-impact collateral materials and valuable lead generation in support of sales effort.
  • Assess the need for strategic partnerships, evaluate potential alliances, and manage these relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of the pharmaceutical informatics industry via peer relationships, client meetings, conferences, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with consumer or patient database and marketing information-services products.
  • Proven track record of defining, building, and launching successful products.
  • Minimum 5 years' interactive marketing experience.
  • Significant experience defining and executing product management, including project management, iterative product development and requirements gathering, competitive product positioning, generating new product proposals with business justification, enhancing existing products, and managing new product rollouts.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A successful track record in strategic product development
  • The ability to build/package a portfolio of database/information products from a highly targeted, centralized, proprietary database.
  • Excellent understanding of Internet and DTC marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and marketing research
  • Substantial knowledge of consumer databases (companies like Experian, Axiom, NDCHealth, IMS, and ACNielsen)
  • Enough technical understanding to ensure product specs reflect market requirements and to interact directly with tech team members
  • An energetic self-starter who can combine hands-on implementation with a strategic, long-term industry view
  • Intense sense of urgency and commitment
  • Ability to collaborate in and contribute to a cross-functional team environment as both a leader and team player
