Management Team

Rob Rebak, Chief Executive Officer
A 20-year healthcare and interactive marketing industry veteran, Rebak brings a broad range of strategic and operational experiences from Fortune 500 companies to early stage ventures within the pharmaceutical, consumer health, and interactive marketing industries. He joined MTS from ParentingTeensNetwork (PTN), an online publishing and community building platform, where he served as CEO since 2007. Prior to PTN, Rebak was President of SimStar, a leading interactive healthcare marketing agency which was acquired by Rosetta, currently the country's largest independent interactive marketing agency. Earlier in his career, Rebak spent 10 years in various commercial roles for Pfizer, Schering-Plough, and Bristol-Myers Squibb, including marketing roles on Claritin, one of the most successful DTC-driven brands in pharmaceutical industry history. Rebak holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago GSB and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.

Peter Burch, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Burch has 23 years' strategic experience in the health-care sector, including marketing, media, editorial, and sales development. Prior to joining MTS, he was a General Manager of Catalina Health Resource, a $120 million pharmacy marketing company, where he also served as head of sales and client services. Prior to starting his career at SmithKline Beecham, Burch graduated with honors from Old Dominion University with a B.A. in Finance and Marketing.

Amit Chaturvedi, Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer
Chaturvedi's deep operational experience spans venture-backed technology companies to global internet conglomerates. Prior to joining MTS, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations at IAC Advertising Solutions, a division of the IAC internet conglomerate. Prior to IAC, he served in a variety of management roles at Atlas, the technology arm of aQuantive (acquired by Microsoft). Before Atlas, Chaturvedi spent a number of years as an integral part of the management team at WeatherBug. Chaturvedi received a B.S. from New York University.

Clifford A. Farren, Jr., Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Having spent nearly 25 years in Information Services, Market Research, Direct Marketing and Media, Farren brings a broad range of financial, operational and legal experiences from Fortune 500 companies to early stage ventures. Farren joined MTS after having served as CFO of PlaydayTV, a media company focused on interactive television channels for games. Farren previously served as CFO and COO for TargetRx, Inc., a pharmaceutical sales and marketing effectiveness company. Prior to TargetRx, Farren was CFO of Synavant, Inc., a pharmaceutical sales force automation and marketing services company which was acquired by Dendrite International in 2003. Earlier in his career, Farren spent 15 years in various financial roles at Dun & Bradstreet including roles at the IMS Health, A.C. Nielsen, and Donnelly Marketing divisions. Farren holds a B.B.A. in Finance from St. Bonaventure University.

Ram Rao, Founder and Senior Vice President
Since the company's inception, Rao has led strategy at MTS, driving product development, data strategy, and corporate planning. He plays a critical role in shaping MTS's targeted lead generation and advertising solutions products, including developing consumer profiling and media strategies. Rao is also the General Manager of HealthPages.com, responsible for audience acquisition, sales, product development, and overall growth of the site's directories. Prior to MTS, he was Director of Marketing Research at News America Marketing, which is best known for its line of SmartSource products. He received a B.S. in Engineering from Columbia University.

Rob Costanzo, Vice President, Technology
A member of the MTS technology team since 2003, Costanzo has worked hand in hand with various business owners to create QualityHealth.com's proprietary CPA optimization engine. In addition, he has overseen the website's infrastructure as its capacity for monthly visitors has grown from 300,000 to more than 9 million. Prior to joining the company, Costanzo served as a Consultant at Fort Point Partners, where he launched several large-scale websites, including e-commerce hubs such as Niketown.com and FinishLine.com and the financial services–trading portal QuickAndReilly.com. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University.

Ken Kantor, Vice President, Marketing
Having joined MTS in 2008, Kantor is an expert in interactive and database marketing. At MTS, he is responsible for overall website design, member acquisition, retention, and content strategies to maximize consumer engagement. Prior to MTS, Kantor was the Senior Director of Database Marketing & Loyalty at IAC / InterActiveCorp, where he led social media strategies and corporate database marketing initiatives across Match.com, Ticketmaster, HSN, Citysearch, Ask.com, and LendingTree. In addition, Kantor served as Senior Director, Marketing at About.com (The New York Times) and Marketing Director at Time Inc. (Time Warner) and NetActive. He holds an M.B.A. and Masters in Computer Science from Duke University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Lehigh University.

Russell E. Planitzer, Managing Principal, Lazard Technology Partners
Prior to co-founding Lazard Technology Partners in 1998, Planitzer served as Chairman and CEO of Prime Computer, Inc. (which was later renamed Computervision, Inc.). During that time, he reorganized the business to focus on high-end computer-aided design software and restored the company's profitability—an achievement for which he was named 1995 CEO of the Year by D.H. Brown and Associates. Before that time, he spent 12 years as a general partner at J.H. Whitney, where he established a strong investment record by focusing on early-stage technology and emerging growth companies, including Wellfleet Communications, Inc. (renamed Bay Networks, Inc.). Planitzer is a Graduate of the United States Naval Academy, holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and is a past director of the National Venture Capital Association.

Jay N. Goldberg, Senior Managing Director, Hudson Ventures
Jay has been a General Partner of Hudson Ventures since 1996. He was the Founder of OPCENTER, LLC, a privately held company that provided help desk and computer operations services, and the Founder and Chairman of Lexstra PLC, a London based consulting company. From 1990 through 1994, Jay served as Chairman and CEO of Image Business Systems Corp., a company that provided document management and workflow software. In 1989, he founded Zeitech, Inc., a company which provided computer implementation professionals through its five national offices. Under Jay's direction, Zeitech appeared twice on Inc. Magazine's 500 List of America's fastest growing companies and was sold in January 1996 to Career Horizons, Inc. In 1986 Jay purchased Money Management Systems, Inc. (MMS) from Ziff-Davis. MMS sold software and services to banks and broker-dealers for securities trading activities. In 1989 MMS was sold to Sungard Inc. From 1968 to 1985, Jay was Chairman and CEO of Software Design Associates, a systems development firm that grew to 600 people, which was sold to AGS Computers Inc. Currently, Mr. Goldberg serves on the Boards of several of Hudson's portfolio companies, including: MTS, [X + 1], and PowerSteering. Jay previously served on the Board and managed Hudson's investment in Bigfoot Interactive, prior to its sale to Alliance Data Systems. He is the past Chairman of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. Mr. Goldberg is also a member of the Board of Overseers of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the faculty of Arts and Sciences of New York University, the Arbitrage Fund, and is a Trustee of the Charles Babbage Foundation.Jay, an avid golfer, holds a B. A. Degree from New York University and resides in New York City with his family.

James T. Jahnke, Director of Private Equity, Palisade Capital Management
In his current post at Palisade Capital, Jahnke leads the private equity team, which is responsible for portfolio monitoring of existing investments and financial analysis, valuation determination, deal structuring, and due diligence of new investments. Jahnke, together with principals of the firm, is responsible for sourcing of new private equity investments. Prior to joining Palisade in 2005, he held various positions over an 18-year period at Chrysler and DaimlerChrysler in control, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Jahnke holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Denver.

Thomas C. Lauda, Consultant, UCB
A seasoned pharmaceutical executive, Lauda has spent more than 30 years in the industry. He worked for Schering-Plough for the majority of his career, starting in Audit and then in senior Finance and Operations roles both domestically and in Latin America, and culminating in both senior Global Marketing and Executive Management positions. Lauda's last role was President of International Operations, where he was accountable for all Schering-Plough business outside the US and was also a member of the Schering-Plough Executive Committee. Since leaving Schering-Plough, he has been an independent consultant engaged exclusively by UCB, where he has worked with the CEO in various executive capacities. Lauda is a Certified Public Accountant and spent the first five years of his career at Peat Marwick in various Audit capacities. He is currently an Advisory Board member for Schwarz Pharma, UCB-USA, and C-Bax. Lauda holds a BS degree in Finance from Monmouth College.
