Executive Committee

Helene Monat, Chief Executive Officer
Monat has spent three decades providing marketing services for the pharmaceutical, health care, and consumer packaged goods industries. Prior to joining MTS in 2001, she spent 13 years with Catalina Marketing, a leader in behavior-based, targeted marketing solutions, where she served as president of the Manufacturer Services Group. Monat was elected to the board in 1992, when the company went public (NYSE: POS), and later held management positions in its international division and pharmaceutical marketing group, the Health Resource Division. She previously held management posts at Harte-Hanks and Information Resources, utilizing UPC scanner data to assist consumer packaged goods marketers. Monat started her career at General Mills.

Peter Burch, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Burch has 23 years' strategic experience in the health-care sector, including marketing, media, editorial, and sales development. Prior to joining MTS, he was a GM of Catalina Health Resource, a $120 million pharmacy marketing company, where he also served as head of sales and client services. Prior to starting his career at SmithKline Beecham, Burch graduated with honors from Old Dominion University with a B.A. in finance and marketing.

Dan Murphy, Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Marketing Technology Solutions in 2004, Murphy held several senior executive positions with Thomson Financial, including CFO of its Investment Management Group and, most recently, CFO of Sales, Marketing and Service, an organization that oversaw $1.6 billion in annual revenues. During his decade-long tenure at Thomson, he was responsible for a number of functional areas, and his accomplishments included the integration of several key acquisitions and the dispensation of innumerable non-strategic assets. With a B.B.A. in accounting from St. Bonaventure University, Murphy began his career at Ernst & Young, where he served as a senior accountant.

Management Team

Paul Cimino, Senior Vice President, Research & Development
A well-known new media pioneer and leader in digital marketing, e-commerce, and interactive TV, Cimino previously served as COO in charge of business and product development at CAC Media. Before that time, he was cofounder and CEO of Snickelways Interactive, a leading e-commerce solutions provider. There, Cimino created the first viable extranet and counseled a marquee roster of companies on e-business initiatives, including American Express, Viacom, Hewlett-Packard, AT&T, Microsoft, Fruit of the Loom, the Vitamin Shoppe, iVillage, and Chase. He holds a B.A. from New York University.

Steven Davis, Vice President, Product Management
Davis, an expert in patient-level data, has spearheaded research, product development, and client servicing for some of the nation's leading market research firms. Prior to joining MTS in 2005, he served as VP of product management at Verispan, where he led efforts to create innovative syndicated-research products and improve delivery of quality patient analytics while quadrupling his division's revenues. In addition to stints at Migliara Kaplan, Bernett Research Services, and one of Verispan's parent companies, Quintiles, Davis previously served as director of consulting services for HealthCare Market Research, a joint venture between Pfizer and CVS. He holds B.S. degrees in both marketing and political science from the University of Tennessee.

Vince McAneney, Vice President, Sales
With more than two decades of pharmaceutical industry and technology experience in sales, marketing, and distribution, McAneney joined MTS in 2001. Before that time, he was president of Innovative Marketing Services, Inc., a pharmaceutical marketing services financing and consulting company. McAneney began his career at Accenture (Andersen Consulting), where he became a senior manager in the health care and pharmaceutical practice area. He subsequently joined AstraMerck, which later became AstraZeneca, where he worked to implement innovative marketing programs within pharmacy and managed-care companies. McAneney attended Princeton University and received a B.S.E. in chemical engineering.

Dan Brandt, Vice President, Operations
A 20-year veteran of technology management, architecture, and software development, Brandt joined MTS in 2002. Before that time, he founded the Web-development firm Catalytic Architects LLC, where he built team-collaboration and automated-testing ASP tools for prestigious e-commerce clients, such as J.Crew, Kaplan, and Scholastic. Brandt was previously director of emerging technology at AXA-Financial, spearheading the launch of AXA's first major consumer financial website, EQAccess, and establishing the Internet Center of Excellence for AXA-Financial's global parent company. Prior to that, he served as director of development at ADP's Brokerage Services division, VP of global systems at Lehman Brothers, and senior consultant of financial services at Deloitte & Touche. Brandt received a B.A. in economics and a B.S. in engineering from Swarthmore College, as well as an M.S. in computer science from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School.

Rob Costanzo, Vice President, Technology
A member of the MTS technology team since 2003, Costanzo has worked hand in hand with various business owners to create QualityHealth.com's proprietary CPA optimization engine. In addition, he has overseen the website's infrastructure as its capacity for monthly visitors has grown from 300,000 to more than 9 million. Prior to joining the company, Costanzo served as a consultant at Fort Point Partners, where he launched several large-scale websites, including e-commerce hubs such as Niketown.com and FinishLine.com and the financial services–trading portal QuickAndReilly.com. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University.

Russell E. Planitzer, Managing Principal, Lazard Technology Partners
Prior to cofounding Lazard Technology Partners in 1998, Planitzer served as chairman and CEO of Prime Computer, Inc. (which was later renamed Computervision, Inc.). During that time, he reorganized the business to focus on high-end computer-aided design software and restored the company's profitability—an achievement for which he was named 1995 CEO of the Year by D.H. Brown and Associates. Before that time, he spent 12 years as a general partner at J.H. Whitney, where he established a strong investment record by focusing on early-stage technology and emerging growth companies, including Wellfleet Communications, Inc. (renamed Bay Networks, Inc.). Planitzer is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and is a past director of the National Venture Capital Association.

Carol Gershaw, Cofounder, Beacon Pointe Group
Gershaw, who founded the Beacon Pointe Group in 2002, previously spent 15 years at Schering-Plough, where she held various positions of increasing responsibility, including assistant controller; senior director of sourcing and manufacturing strategic planning; regional director of managed care sales; VP of sales, marketing, planning, and analysis; and most recently, VP of information technology. A respected team builder who has managed operating and capital budgets in excess of $150 million, Gershaw was recently named to the board of C3i and appointed by the chief justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as a director of the disciplinary oversight committee; Gershaw currently serves as chairperson for the organization's budget committee. She holds an M.B.A. in finance and a B.S. in biology from Rutgers University.

Jay N. Goldberg, Senior Managing Director, Hudson Ventures
Prior to joining Hudson Ventures in 1996, Goldberg served as chairman and CEO of Image Business Systems Corp., a distributor of document management and workflow software, and previously founded Zeitech, Inc., a provider of computer implementation professionals. Before that time, he purchased Money Management Systems, Inc. (MMS), a company that was sold to Sungard Inc., and in the two decades prior, he served as chairman and CEO of Software Design Associates, a systems development firm that was subsequently sold to AGS Computers Inc. Goldberg is also the founder of OpCenter, the founder and chairman of Lexstra PLC, and a board member of several Hudson Ventures portfolio companies, including Poindexter Systems, GlobalServe, Didera, and eNow.com. He holds a B.A. from New York University.

James T. Jahnke, Director of Private Equity, Palisade Capital Management
In his current post at Palisade Capital, Jahnke leads the private equity team, which is responsible for portfolio monitoring of existing investments and financial analysis, valuation determination, deal structuring, and due diligence of new investments. Jahnke, together with principals of the firm, is responsible for sourcing of new private equity investments. Prior to joining Palisade in 2005, he held various positions over an 18-year period at Chrysler and DaimlerChrysler in control, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Jahnke holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree from the University of Denver.

Manu Rana, Principal, Old Lane
Rana is a managing director at Old Lane, LP, and leads the firm's negotiated investments. Prior to joining Old Lane in 2007, he was a managing director at Lazard Alternative Investments, where he was responsible for investments in financial and related business and information services investments with a focus on technology-enabled businesses. Rana began his career at Lazard Freres Co. in 1994 and previously was a member of A.T. Kearney's financial institutions/services practice. He received a B.A. from Columbia University.
