Marketing Technology Solutions Acquires HealthPages.com
MTS's new online directory provides users with localized information specific to their individual health needs.

JERSEY CITY, NJ- August 31, 2007 - Marketing Technology Solutions (MTS), the leader in performance-based, interactive marketing for health-care advertisers, today announced its acquisition of Healthpages.com, an online directory service that provides users with localized information specific to their individual health needs.

The website was designed to make it easy for consumers to find relevant health information, right in their zip code. "We built the site so that consumers could find doctors, hospitals, dentists, fitness centers, healthy recipes, and health tools in a simple, one-step process," said Ryan Cook, the founder of HealthPages.com.

According to Ram Rao, senior vice president of corporate business development at MTS and general manager of HealthPages.com, the acquisition is a beneficial opportunity for both consumers and advertisers. "HealthPages provides MTS with the ability to provide advertising and sponsorship to local sponsors in conjunction with the health-related directory services offered to consumers," he said. "Plus, because the interactive tools found on the site are relevant by condition, advertisers are able to drive brand awareness, trial, and compliance among key consumer segments."

Rao added that the decision to acquire HealthPages expands the reach of MTS's network of interactive sites: "With HealthPages.com, we now have the ability to help consumers find solutions to their health needs, right in their own community."
