Nutrition Fact Database Helps Consumers Keep Their New Year's Resolutions
Nubella.com's enhanced interactive tool allows users to search more than 6,000 foods for nutrient value.
EDISON, NJ, January 8, 2007 - With so many New Year's resolutions focused around healthy eating, Nubella.com's new nutrition database is aiding consumers in making smarter food choices. The user-friendly tool boasts a comprehensive collection of more than 6,000 food items and utilizes information contained in the USDA's Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies, with additional enhancements designed to educate consumers on the nutritional composition of what they're eating.
For the consumer, searches yield a nutritional label-style table; related search terms, including different varieties of particular foods; and relevant recipes and articles selected from Nubella.com's extensive recipe and article archive. Also available are related nutrient terms and definitions with full explanations of vitamins and minerals contained within the particular item.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for consumers to keep their healthy New Year's resolutions," said Matthew Combs, product manager of Nubella.com. "With just one search, they can discover what's in the foods they're eating and the role that each nutrient plays in their health, plus find related recipe ideas and up-to-date articles."
