Nubella.com's New Interactive Tool Makes It Easy to Search Recipes by Nutritional Value
The site's database features more than 6,000 recipes, all with complete nutrient data aimed at educating the user about healthy cooking.

EDISON, NJ, May 8, 2006 - Healthy diet and nutrition continue to be of paramount importance to a growing segment of the population. With this in mind, Nubella.com recently launched a searchable recipe database featuring more than 6,000 recipes, all with complete nutrient data aimed at educating the user about the health and nutritional value of each dish.

Recipes are grouped into several categories: low fat, low calorie, low cholesterol, low sodium (as defined by the USDA), and sugar-free. Additional segments will include diabetic safe, heart healthy, protein rich, calcium rich, and fiber rich, providing even greater value to users.

As a pioneer in the interactive nutrition and health food market, Nubella.com created this service based on direct feedback from users gained through weekly survey questions, offered both on its website and in its newsletter. In a series of polls, respondents provided insight into the nutrition issues that were most important to them.

One recent poll showed the following results:* "Does a low-fat label influence your decision to purchase a product?"

  • Yes, somewhat influential 43%
  • Yes, highly influential 26%
  • Yes, it influences me negatively 10%
  • No, does not influence me 21%

It shows that what is considered healthy for one consumer is not necessarily applicable to all consumers.
